Almanacs and Normal Star Almanacs

ADART Vol. VII

Annual predictive texts. Almanacs list the dates of the coming year's planetary phenomena, including the stations and acronychal risings of the outer planets and the planets' entries into signs; Normal Star Almanacs predict planetary passages by the 'Normal Stars'. The predictions were most likely made with the help of the Goal-Year Texts, which makes these some of the earliest predicted, rather than observed, station dates.
