SEASON I · SOUTH NODE
10 Apr – 18 May 2032
39 days on which the Sun stands within 18.5° of the Moon’s south node, at 9° Taurus mid-season. Retrograde during it: Pluto (4 days).
Four eclipses fall in 2032, in two eclipse seasons: total lunar eclipse on 25 Apr, annular solar eclipse on 9 May, total lunar eclipse on 18 Oct and partial solar eclipse on 3 Nov. Mercury is retrograde at the partial solar eclipse on 3 Nov.
Each wedge spans 18.5° either side of the lunar node the Sun passes in that season, drawn at the node’s place mid-season: the nodes slide back about 19° a year. Solar eclipses sit on the outer ring at the Sun’s longitude, lunar ones on the inner ring at the Moon’s.
Where the seasons meet the retrogrades
Retrograde windows run from the station-retrograde day to the station-direct day, both counted, in UTC — the same windows as the 2032 retrograde calendar.
SEASON I · SOUTH NODE
39 days on which the Sun stands within 18.5° of the Moon’s south node, at 9° Taurus mid-season. Retrograde during it: Pluto (4 days).
SEASON II · NORTH NODE
37 days on which the Sun stands within 18.5° of the Moon’s north node, at 0° Scorpio mid-season. Retrograde during it: Mercury (9 days), Saturn (24 days), Uranus (36 days), Neptune (the whole season) and Pluto (21 days).
Eclipses and times of greatest eclipse are computed with astronomy-engine and checked against NASA’s eclipse catalog; see the method.
